El IPCC, como san Pedro, también niega tres veces seguidas la verdad.
Sabemos que en la biblia climática del alarmismo, el último informe del IPCC, hay exageraciones, errores y mentiras con gran generosidad. Hoy vamos a ver un caso y a seguirle la pista, porque alguien ha tenido la buena idea de escarbar. Lo saco de dos artículos en ClimateQuotes.com, referenciados al final. Y veremos como el IPCC parte de un informe irrelvante, lo dota de una conclusión que el informe no lleva, y por tres veces seguidas se niega a considerar los avisos de que estaba fabricando una perfecta melonada. ¿La melonada? ¿Que el cambio climático va afecta negativamente (también) a la industria del turismo. Por ejemplo los incendios forestales en Canadá.

"Climate variability affects many segments of this growing economic sector [Tourism]. For example, wildfires in Colorado (2002) and British Columbia (2003) caused tens of millions of dollars in tourism losses by reducing visitation and destroying infrastructure (Associated Press, 2002; Butler, 2002; BC Stats, 2003)."Pero si uno va a las fuentes que citan, respecto a Canadá dicen:
It is possible that the stronger performance of regions far from the fires is due to travellers who changed their plans to visit these regions instead of those heavily affected by the forest fires. [-->]¡Ajá! Así que salvo que British Columbia entera se ponga a arder, el turismo se aparta de donde hay fuego y va a donde no hay, sin pérdida neta para el turismo. Inteligentes los turistas. Mucho más que el IPCC, que, estando esto escrito en la fuente misma que cita, no lo quiere ver e insiste en las pérdidas para el turismo.
Y aquí viene la guasa. Tres revisores distintos se dieron cuenta de la estupidez, y pidieron que cambiara el párrafo alarmista. Ni siquiera fueron al original -una oscura revista de turismo muy difícil de encontrar, sino que se limitaron a aplicar el sentido común.

1- E-14-255 (pag. 42):
Section 14.2.7 Tourism and Recreation - there is a need to distiguish between impacts on the sector as a whole and impacts on individual operators or locations. It is obvious that severe climate events will prevent people from visiting a specific location, but it is less clear whether they will simply decide to travel somewhere else or not recreate at all. In the former, most likely, case there is no significant impact on the sector.Contesta el IPCC:
M- This is the litererature (sic) avaiableLo que no es una respuesta a la pega, sino una protesta de escasez de literatura. ¿Revisó el IPCC su fuente para ver que estaba equivocado? Al contrario.
2- Comment E-14-261 (page 43):
Append the following to the end of the para: "It's important to note that a decline in tourism in one area at a specific time for a particular activity may be made up by greater tourism in another area at another time from another activity. Thus, while tourism revenues may be redistributed in space, time and activity, the net effect on the economy might be small in either direction. It should be noted that in each of the examples offered below regarding the climate-related impacts on tourism, no estimates are provided regarding areas or activities that might have been the beneficiaries of tourism activities." M- Cut material from this section to meet page limits cannot add more text¡Hemos llegado al cupo y no podemos añadir texto! Prodigioso. En un informe de 3.000 páginas no cabe un párrafo más, que clarificaría una afirmación que sin ese párrafo es incorrecta.

Es más corto, pero dice básicamente lo mismo. ¿Será por ser diferente el autor? Pero da lo igual. Clarividente o no, este comentario tampoco fue incluido, y la estupidez se quedó como estaba.
Esto es el 4ª Informe del IPCC, biblia del alarmismo. Recuérdalo, para cuando te golpeen con su biblia.
