Acabo de recibir, a través de avaaz, una convocatoria a manifestaciones en contra de ACTA. Como actualiza algo el estado de las cosas, lo copio aquí para vuestra información y por si queréis asistir. Cuentan que han entregado en Bruselas 2,2 millones de firmas en contra de ACTA y que Alemania y cuatro países del Este han decidido  paralizar su decisión sobre la misma. El motivo de la convocatoria es, según cuentan, la inminente elección del responsable del ACTA por el Parlamento Europeo.

In 24 hours, people across the planet are joining a global street protest to bury ACTA for good.

This week our massive 2 million ACTA petition caused shockwaves in Brussels, and we’ve just learned that Germany has put ACTA on ice and other governments are close to following suit. If Europe says no to ACTA, it dies!  We’re at a tipping point – If enough of us join the protest tomorrow, we can secure our online freedom and end the threat of ACTA’s censorship nightmare.

Our massive ACTA petition was personally delivered to leading EU politicians in Brussels this week as it grew to 2.2 million signers and beyond. The European Parliament is choosing their new point person on the treaty right now. Let’s make sure that person realises that ACTA is too hot to handle.

Four Eastern European governments and now Germany have just said they’ll stall their decision on the treaty. Now, if hundreds of thousands of people attend thousands of rallies all across Europe tomorrow, we can ensure that all politicians across the 27 EU countries are put on notice that people don’t want ACTA and will continue to take action until the treaty is buried.

    Acabo de leer una entrevista a Markus Bäcklund, CEO de Voddler, una empresa sueca de alquiler de cine por internet que se quiere introducir en España. Dice cosas como estas: 'La 'piratería' no es culpa del usuario,es que no hay oferta 'legal'' 'Nadie quiere esperar seis meses a ver una película de estreno' 'Ir contra Internet para combatir la 'piratería' es imposible e inútil' Me parece a mí que la industria lo tiene más claro que los políticos. http://www.elmundo.es/elmundo/2012/03/07/navegante/1331106343.html

      Sí Los pobres de Amazon se las ven y se las desean para poder alquilar películas en diferentes países. Incluso con el Kindle, hay dificultades para comprar según qué libros, que solo te dejan descargarlos si vives en Francia, en el UK, etc. Así que, los modernos en la industria lo tienen claro. Pero lo que les está haciendo polvo es el proteccionismo de las "industrias locales desfasadas y que no podrían competir fuera ", por parte de los políticos locales.

      Yo lo pongo yo. Está bien esta actualización de noticias sobre ACTA. A ver cómo va quedando la cosa. No las tengo todas conmigo; no me fío un pelo.

    Sefuela: Cuando he ido a enterarme, por si podía ir, me he encontrado con que era uno de esos sitios (no recuerdo si FB o TW ) donde había que iniciar sesión, y a los pocos segundos se me ha puesto un especie de velo blanco tapando todo... Me ha dado tiempo justo de ver que era a las 12, en Madrid y en Barcelona. Así que tampoco hubiera podido ir... Hoy he tenido invasión desde muy temprano, y estoy muy cansada, y esperando que sea un poquito más tarde para darme a la vodka, así que no voy a ser capaz de hacer nada que sea un poco difícil. Sin embargo, me gustaría enterarme de lo que ha pasado en relación con las manifestaciones anti ACTA. Me voy a ir a los periódicos , pero lo probable es que ni hablen de ello. Tú que te enteras de todo, ¿nos contarías?

    He leído en El País que las movilizaciones anti ACTA habían sido un fracaso. Que eran 15 en Barcelona, y unas 50 en Madrid, dándose ánimos unos a otros. Pero que en cambio, en París había habido un gentío. Y por muy partidista que sea El Pais, no puede decir 15 ni 50, si eran más de 100, o 200, porque 15 y 50 son fáciles de contar, y de desmentir... :(
